Profile

Research topic:

Application and development of seismic methods for monitoring geothermal reservoirs to advance the understanding of the relationship between the local stress field, reservoir geomechanical properties and induced seismicity.

Research activities:

  • Ambient seismic wavefield processing: to image and monitor geothermal reservoirs and their surroundings.
  • Innovative measurement technologies: developing the use of fibre-optic sensing methods, including Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS), for improved monitoring and characterisation of geothermal reservoirs
  • Participatory research: developing an interdisciplinary approach combining geophysics, social sciences and public engagement to actively involve citizens in research initiatives.
