Research

We research and develop for a sustainable future technology
Geochemical laboratory tests. KIT
The research in our main research topics includes numerical methods, experiments in the lab and in the field, as well as stochastic and statistical analyses.

We investigate pressing issues of geothermal energy development and work multidisciplinary on research areas related to the successful use of deep geothermal energy in order to understand and control the occurring coupled processes. We are both a university chair and part of the Helmholtz research.

Our goal is the development of new technologies based on basic research and the transfer of research results into innovative industrial applications for a sustainable energy system of the future.

Our research is a contribution to the Research Field Energy, one of the six research fields of the Helmholtz Association. Incooperation with research patners and often the industry we carry out third party funded projects.
